'American Idol's Phillip Phillips sings anthem at World Series. American Idol's season 11 winner sang in front of thousands of fans at Game 1 of the MLB World Series on Wednesday evening (October 24).

Phillips performed a version of 'The Star Spangled Banner' ahead of the game between the San Francisco Giants and Detroit Tigers.

The 22-year-old released a platinum-selling single called 'Home' from his upcoming album earlier this year, shortly after his victory on American Idol.

The album - titled The World from the Side of the Moon - will feature all-new tracks written by the Idol alum.

The World from the Side of the Moon is scheduled for release on November 19.
